Anthill Construction

When it comes to building our anthill for optimal cost-efficiency, there are two key considerations:

  1. Feeding Area: This is where our ants (specifically worker ants, not soldiers) drink and eat.
  2. Fungus Supply: Many are familiar with it, and many know what I mean. Fungi are scarce, but we need them. There’s also a trick to obtain or save fungi WITHOUT a light contract.

Optimise Meat and Water consumption

Here’s a comparison of resource usage when the Worker Ant nest is connected or disconnected from the streets.

It’s important that you separate these breeding grounds from the street! By doing so, you can save yourself one week’s worth of water and meat. Just cut the the street or move the buildings to disconnect them.

Optimise Mushroom consumption

Almost every building in The Ants consumes mushrooms. However, if we separate all the buildings, they will no longer consume mushrooms. Here are some important points to consider:

  1. Buildings still function even without being connected to a road. This means that a Healing Pool or a Guardian Breeding Ground will still produce soldiers even if they are not connected to a road.
  2. Please be aware that if you separate buildings, you won’t receive notifications indicating when soldiers are fully trained or when the ladybug is present.

If you follow this approach, you will automatically receive more mushrooms per hour even without a light contract. If you need more mushrooms quickly, here’s a trick:

Give the leafcutter ants some leaves, but be cautious and provide as few leaves as possible. In the image below, I’ve given them only 6,000 leaves.

Afterward, use the quick production option, and you’ll find that for 6,000 leaves, you’ll get 50,000 mushrooms. It’s minimal input for maximum profit! If you repeat this with all leafcutter ants, you can quickly get 1 million mushrooms for just a few thousand leaves.

Don’t disconnect these buildings

Production buildings like sand, leaves, etc., shouldn’t be separated, but by applying the “worker ant trick” mentioned earlier, you can safely disconnect four water sources and still have enough water at all times. Here’s how it looks for me…:

Warehouses should also never be disconnected:
